A Little Life Update
It’s been quite some time since I introduced myself to you in my first blog post—over 6 months ago, believe it or not—so I realized that it was time to update you on what’s been going on with me…beyond what you find out within my typical weekly blog posts.

Since you’re reading this, that means that it’s October 3rd. This date has always been important to me, and especially this year, so it felt right that today be the day that I share this life update with you! People know October, and the third, especially, for many things—For one, it’s the beginning of the first full month of Fall, which also happens to be my favorite season. The third is also well-known, by many, for being “Mean Girls Day”…It took me quite a few years to finally understand what people meant by saying that it was “Mean Girls Day”, but watch the movie Mean Girls, if you haven’t already, and trust me, you’ll never forget the reference.
For me, October 3rd has always been an exciting day…my birthday! Yep, today, I’m 22. I still can’t believe that I’m already saying that. 21 was a good year; transformative, exciting—just graduating from college made it a very big year for me. The time definitely feels like it FLEW by, but I’m excited to see what 22 has in store!
However, this year, October 3rd, for me, is more than just my birthday. It’s also the day before I start my full-time job. It seems like just yesterday that I was beginning my four month ~vacation~ between college and work, but here we are, in, what seems like, the blink of an eye…SO many different feelings come with the thought of taking this big step towards the future—nervousness, especially, but also a strong sense of curiosity and excitement. I have absolutely no idea what to expect when it comes to this next chapter, but I think I’m ready to find out.
Oh, but don’t worry, the blog is not going anywhere. It will definitely be a challenge, and will take some ~insane~ time management skills, to figure out the “right” way to incorporate blogging into my work schedule, but that is a challenge that I am definitely up for…
