My Top 3 Pairs of Winter Shoes
Shoes, in my opinion, have the ability to set the tone of an entire outfit…and I’ve found that, in the winter months, it can be even more difficult to match the “mood” of your clothing with that of your shoes.
When it comes to choosing shoes to wear in the colder weather, it’s important to think about more than just the style of shoe you feel would look best with the outfit that you’re wearing. For me, I think about comfort—I always want to feel as comfortable and warm as possible when I’m out and about in the cold. I also think about the weather, particularly any chance of snow—if there’s snow already on the ground, or the potential for it, I want to wear shoes that can “withstand” that kind of weather.
So, shoes in the wintertime…Is it a little more difficult to choose the “right” pairs? Maybe, but is it impossible? Definitely not…
Here are my go-to pairs of shoes throughout the winter months:
1. Ugg Ansley Slippers
If you’ve read my previous blog post, you know just how much I love my “in the house” Fluff Yeah Ugg Slides…so of course I need slippers to wear out of the house, as well.
These are, without a doubt, my most worn pair of shoes throughout the winter. If you know Uggs, you know just how comfortable they are, and these slippers are no exception…with their wool lining, and, not to mention, waterproof coating, they’re the perfect pair of shoes for whatever weather the winter has in store for us.
2. Timberland Amston Wedges
Depending on where you live, you might not NEED a pair of snow shoes, but living in the Northeast, I definitely do. In my opinion, these are the perfect compromise for a snow shoe—Timberland boots are known for their durability, but with the wedge on these, the use of these shoes can definitely go beyond time spent in the snow. Whether you pair them with leggings and a sweatshirt, or jeans and a sweater, the element of style will never escape your day’s look.
3. Express Block Heel Sock Booties
I just got these booties a few months ago, but they’re already one of my favorite pairs of shoes. In my opinion, you really can’t go wrong with a pair of black booties. Perfect for (almost) every occasion-shopping, dinner, going out…these booties are truly a classic and timeless pair of shoes that will, inevitably, enhance your collection for years to come.
These are definitely my current winter favorites, but also only a few of many pairs of shoes that you can choose from to complete your desired winter looks…just remember, comfort and style can definitely go hand in hand.
